Reiko Emmi Sota
President and CEO
Reiko Sota is an international business development professional experienced
in high technology and other industries. She has special expertise in
inter-corporate and inter-cultural negotiation, strategic partnerships
and new venture issues, with additional experience in research, marketing,
public relations, and customer service. A veteran of US and Japanese commerce,
she has improved business practices, expanded markets, and facilitated
groundbreaking summits between major corporations like Apple Computer
and Symantec.
Steve Yamaguma
Marketing Director
Founder and president of Design 2 Market, Steve Yamaguma brings over 22
years of marketing communications experience to Splice. A veteran of Silicon
Valley, Steve has extensive experience in promoting semiconductor and
IT companies in the global market. As a part of the original Intel Inside
team, Steve has gained experience in brand development for hi-tech companies
and has helped launch branding campaigns for 50/50 Microelectronics, OKI-on-Board,
ASAT and Valley Credit Union. Steve has been active in the Silicon Valley
community having served on various boards including a founding board member
of the Japanese American Chamber of Commerce of Silicon Valley and the
Silicon Valley Charity Ball Foundation.
Boye Lafayette De Mente
Senior Advisor
Boye Lafayette De Mente has been involved with Japan and East Asia since
the late 1940s as a member of a U.S. intelligence agency, student, business
journalist, and editor. He is the author of more than 50 books on Japan,
Korea and China, including the first ever on the Japanese way of doing
business: "Japanese
Etiquette & Ethics in Business (1959), and "How to Do Business With the Japanese" (1961).
His other pioneer books include KATA: The Key to Understanding & Dealing
With the Japanese , which is widely regarded as the most definitive work ever
done on why the Japanese think and behave the way the do.
In addition to writing
and lecturing on Japan, Korea and
China, De Mente has served as a business and cultural consultant on these
countries since the early 1960s.
Masayoshi Katayama
Japan team PR and Media Director
Founder and CEO of NewsIcast, Inc., Masayoshi Katayama has over 15 years
of experience in technology and industry reporting in Japan and US. Katayama
has recently launched the business news distribution, called "US
Business Trends", which covers selective US business topics for the
Japanese business executives. He also contributes a variety of articles
to Japanese business magazines and newspapers. His insightful market analysis
adds high value to the business of Splice International.
Navdeep Singh
Chief Technology Advisor
Navdeep Singh has worked extensively with technology companies from Norway,
France, Germany, Holland, Japan, Hungary, Brazil, Korea, China, India,
Nepal, Ireland, USA and Scotland. Mr. Singh has been instrumental in helping
various international technology companies set foot in the Silicon Valley.
Mr. Singh attended Seattle University, where he earned Masters Degrees
in Business Administration and Information Systems and a Bachelors Degree
in Economics.
Kaoru Hirose
Executive Management Advisor
Kaoru Hirose has more than 20 years of diversified experience in hi-tech
marketing and business development. As the former President and CEO of
Canon Systems Globalization, Inc., Hirose was charged with establishing
a start-up subsidiary of Canon Sales to develop Asian partnerships with
American hi-tech and IT organizations. Based in Santa Clara, CA, Hirose
has helped US software, hardware, network and Internet companies succeed
in the Japanese market. In the year 2001, he joined WiredPocket as V.P.
of Worldwide Business Development in San Jose, CA, where he formed a number
of partnership with Japanese blue chip companies. Through his career,
Hirose has brought executive level management experience in partnership
alliance and strategic market development for global businesses. Hirose
holds a B.A. in international business law from Sophia University, Tokyo
Japan.
